Was it just me or did people think this was a pile of cack with really wooden acting, awful lines, cringy scenes and a god awful theme tune?

Its a shame but with 2 great actors as the main characters, i expected more..

Agreed, it was shockingly bad which is quite a feat seeing as nothing actually happened

I didn't think so, very staged and awkward..

I watched. I think (hope) it was designed to show how mundane marriage can be. It was deadly boring though I won't watch it again. There might be huge or twists but if not I can see where it's going already

King's Crustacean

Stefan Golaszewski is an astute observationist.

He hasn't set out to tickle your ribs or give you soap opera drama.

I'd stick with it if you are the type that requires more than histrionic make believe.

Yes it was slow. I did wonder why at first but then I equated that to the slowness or all our realities the tedium the trivialities that both separate and bind us.....

There was enough to keep me guessing e.g. Who is in the grave ? Why is their daughter black ? Why does he chat awkwardly to the receptionist at the gym AND go back to see her later? Is it something to do with her being black ? Why is her dad so obnoxious and needy ? Why did her brother hide upstairs? WTF is up with their daughter trotting after her boyfriend like a scared puppy when he is so obviously manipulative and a creep! So glad her mum picked up on this ......

The silences are powerful ....... they are testimony to great writing and great acting. The dishwasher scene provided a good amount of tension. It was the silent sound of everyone's life.....

Her trying to throw a towel upstairs and constantly asking him to wipe the bathroom over ....... classic !

No train crashes, raypes, kid-naps , adultery ( yet ) or murders or vile psychpaths like corrie or eastenders.

Maybe that's what everyone has become accustomed to.

Its by the same guy who wrote Mum and Him and Her.

I haven't seen this yet but Mum, was very cleverly done and beautifully acted.

Silence speaks louder than words.

Bridlington.

Both main actors are favourites of mine. I duly tuned in and after a bit left, tried again and gave up.

Somewhere In The Ether…

I actually enjoyed it; Nothing really happened yet it was nonetheless rather mesmerising; the awkward silences, the mundanity of conversations between a couple who have lost their son and who are both clearly in the pits of grief.

The sad loneliness and social awkwardness displayed by Bean who overtly feels powerless and useless after losing his job was very touching I thought.

I’ll continue watching

Vive la difference. I don't think he can act his way out of a wet paper bag.

I’m giving this one more episode! Do you think she’s shagged her boss? Off subject is the boss Mark from The inbetweeners?

Norfuck! / Lincolnshire

It’s bloody mundane but I guess it depicts almost every house, every marriage!

For the BBC part it was a waste of money
