Morning all, how are we doing?

My son’s surgery was cancelled last week, and after I got over the disruption to plans (I don’t cope well with plans changing these days) my anxiety actually faded away to a quiet hum - although it took me a while to realise because we tend to notice when things are there and not when they’re not.

Emotionally though I feel unsettled and I’m unsure why. Money is an issue atm as it is for many, and I’m trying to adopt more of an attitude around gratitude and positivity rather than comparison and negativity. I feel resentful of demands that people are placing on me and am thinking that maybe I just need to put myself first for a while rather than adopting my default people-pleasing stance. I just feel like I want to spend time alone and concentrate on myself for a while.

How are things for you right now? x

So still recovering from Anxiety, but last night my ex tried to gaslight me and I’ve woken up this morning feeling incredibly low.

Morning Lou! The old adage of a problem shared, is a problem halved, works. Being alone is not good for you. You don't have to solve everyone's problems, but talking things through helps x

Oh Lou, I wish we could make everything better with the click of the finger. I guess always remember that our problems are serious to us and our feelings are valid. Time for yourself is important. If you can try and get a weekend somewhere.

Lots of love to you and your boy

I’m well. Having lots of thoughts about people that I desire. And it not being reciprocated. Feeling quite undesirable at the moment but it isn’t bothering me really. I’m very content for the first time in a long time.

I’ve missed this thread, Lou!

Lucky for me i found someone who i can talk to and fully open up to without judgement and that has help me loads. I suffer with extreme worries, anxiety and depression. Done cbt and started citalapram. Cbt was shit and not long started tabs but i found having someone to open up to the most helpful. Stay strong folks what will be will be !!

Took the last half tablet of Citalopram on Saturday having followed the plan agreed with my doctor to come off them. So far, so good.

We'll see how the week goes

They've not caused me any problems but after a few years on them, I think it's time to see if I can cope on my own.

mixed week for me..Was on holiday and the weather was brilliant.

on the down side, I was contacted by the Police with news on a case I am involved with and they asked me to give a statement.

It brought a lot of bad memories back.

Friday night I took myself off to a quiet place and bawled my eyes out

Struggling due to pain. I've spent the whole day upstairs in our room because I can't bear any weight on my bad leg, even with crutches. Mr KC isn't feeling well either so I feel like an awful burden on him. So yeah, not so good.

The weekend was good, out on the bike to clear my head and get away, but upon return the same things take over!

Getting over an ex is close, but the overthinking keeps dragging me back.

Keep busy, I’m told, but as a carer for a disabled child I have too much time where I can’t keep busy or get external stimulation, so the overthinking can thrive.

I’ve got some tests tomorrow at the drs, so hoping nothing bad turns up, but again it’s a worry.

To everyone with depression, anxiety or just going through a difficult time, I hopes you all find peace xx

It’s difficult when your circumstances mean you can’t take the measures you want to to help you improve, I guess it’s just about finding your own strategies that work. I hope the tests go ok x

The overthinking is really bad at the moment, and with me its always something pointless and something i can do nothing about.

Late to the party this week and sending my support to everyone that needs it.

I found the heat really draining and feel like I'm catching up on my terrible sleep of the last week. I fell asleep shortly after 8 last night and slept solid until 2.30, then was tossing and turning for rest of the night on broken sleep.

Hoping everyone is as well as they can be. feeling down this evening (getting older, money, being let down by a oved one - the usual) but I'm sure I'll be tip top in the morning, a good night's sleep usually helps me.

Stay sexy folks, and remember - it's good to talk.

Sleep has been bad lately because of the heat.

However a friend has given me a couple of calming oils that ive used when Ive got into bed and they have worked really well.

Hello to everyone… sending hugs and thoughts to all of you having a hard time!

I’m suffering from poor sleep due to a combination of weather & too much booze consumption over the weekend at fab socials.

However I have managed not to let myself overthink and the usual beer anxiety has been kept at bay.

I’ve had a run of good luck lately so I’m trying to capitalise on that at not let myself get derailed by anxiety… fingers crossed I can maintain it!

I hope everyone who is struggling manages to have a bit of a brighter week.

It sounds good that you’ve found things that work for you and that you’ve had a reevaluation of things. I saw a quote earlier that said it’s not always possible to put yourself first but you should always bear yourself in mind x
