I think it can often add a little something extra to be watched, in person or through other means. Being noticed and observed and hopefully enjoyably so!

Don’t necessarily have to join in, but in my case it makes a big difference to be chatting with the woman watching. Adds another layer of acknowledgment, and I know they’re actually watching (and hopefully enjoying). Also opens up an avenue for requests

That's certainly not the case for me. I enjoy being watched in and of itself. Whilst more can also be enjoyable, I wouldn't feel the need to try to make it more. Its a different thing. If it bacame more I would miss out on the pleasure of just being watched.

On a wider note, I would only enjoy it in a consensual situation. I would never want to impose it on anybody.
