"There’s a gorgeous coffee shop inside the Barbican that I don’t think is too hot. A gorgeous place to chill and read. " Oh nice. It would be great if it's air conditioned and I don't have to sell a kidney to pay for a tea

"Are there any green common areas around your flat? I take a fold up chair into my common areas and read there. (Others sunbathe there, so I'm not alone, except I wear a massive hat and seek shade)" There is a big park near me. But lots of friends go around there when it's sunny. Hard to sit there and read without being disturbed. But I am happy to go far to other parts of London. Will look for parks like that

"University libraries are always good. And any cafe with a covered outside space where I can drink coffee and let my attention wander from my book to the world walking past. G" It's a lovely feeling to just sit there, read and let the mind wander, isn't it?
