Do you crack your eggs when cooking?

I use the side of a fork. You get a well defined crack you can get thumb tips into before opening up the shell. My partner used to hit the egg on the rim of the bowl.

What do you do?

I use a knife...difficult to do and can make a huge mess. Always better to take them out of the box first.

Knife or the side of the bowl. Lots of eggs don't crack cleanly lately. When we had our own hens we made sure they got plenty of grit to toughen the shells
