Wedding - gay BFF as Maid of Honour

If a girls oldest, closest friend happens to be a gay male as her 'maid of honour' at the wedding. Would she in return be his 'best man' at his wedding.?

Also he'd be going with all the girls to the hen party. She'd inturn be the only female going on the stag night.

It would be quite helpful if anyone been in this scenario to give feedback.

One of my friends at work (a lass) went to her (male) besties Stag do, officially she was the “Mascot” apparently. No idea what that meant in reality tbf but I know she preferred the Stag to the Hen Do!

I’ve been in that position. Arranged a hen do in Amsterdam. Was really good fun. I love my mate (and her hubby is great). Don’t think it made a difference that I was a guy. The wedding was a success and they’re still going strong.
