So after finding out that as I've moved I have to change doctors (quite daunting as I have a chronic condition but nevermind) I found myself having a new patient check at my new doctors. This would have been fine if I hadn't have to answer the immortal question, "how many sexual partners have you had in the last 3 months?"

How I loved the way the woman looked at me when I said I didn't know. Hehe.

I have dates and usernames of meets off here but in the club is a different matter. I'd like to think I wouldn't be judged on here but clearly I'm wrong.

Always use condoms, regularly tested at the GUM clinic.

Really thought Fab was the one place I wouldn't be judged obviously I was wrong.

Your lucky!! When we moved it took me ages to register with a new GP! Had to get to the surgery early on a Monday morning!

Didn't get asked about sexual partners though

Asked if I'm sexually active, I said yes, they asked whether I had a regular partner, I said no I'm a swinger and then the aforementioned question. Lol. I only registered because my old doctors kicked me out because they knew I'd moved!!

When I got my prescription for the contraceptive pill the GP (lovely lady) just said that "sex is a very dangerous pasttime" and she had not asked me about numbers or anything...

I have a coil & I'm on the pill (treatment for endometriosis) and use condoms, there's no way I'm getting pregnant!! It's the third time I've been asked it. Two gynaes and then today.

Ive always been honest with my health care professionals and never had a negitivie reaction yet, at the gu clinic they just bring more condoms lol.

Dont worry about the new GP, I'm sure they come across it and being honest with them should make things easier and more comfortable should you need to go in the future x :D

When I was admitted in April with the beginning of my endo they did a test and my darling mother sat there saying she hoped I was. This was pre fab and I was seeing a guy but I was bricking it as Mum planned how to turn the spare room into a nursery!!

Firstly you should have asked as to the relevance of the question. Was it related to your condition? It really is of no imprtance to your GP as to how many sexual partners you may have or ha unless you are seeing him or her for a genito urinay issue.

I have Endometriosis, its a gynae thing. I have been asked it on 3 separate occasions now. Its the same question they ask at GUM clinics too.

The nurse at my clap clinic laughed her head off last time when I got my diary out...when she managed to stop giggling, she said "in your own time then..." as it was taking me a while to count up

Haha - I love it! I'm going to have a good chat to the gynae specialist on Monday and see if I can get any Latex free condoms free of charge! haha
