Picture the scene ............... Am sitting on sofa, dropped something on the floor, bent down to pick it up and came face to face with a .............. mouse !!!!!!

Now most of u know I have a complete phobia about mice and rats, I am up - off the sofa - legged it into the kitchen and my little heart is beating and pounding sooooo hard I swear I can see it jumping out my chest ............

and my breathing ....... well - it took me a long long long time to calm down and not feel like I was gonna die .... I am gonna kill the bloody cats !!!!!

I was the same, blind panic screaming and running away as fast as I could

ANd I was not making fun... I can totally understand phobias - they are not about rational thoughts and logic and they can make life very difficult. Have a stiff....err...drink!

better still and this is the really funny bit - whilst having heart palpitations was chatting on the fone to a guy .............. who called me a wuss but was sympathetic and was trying to calm me down - his job is ...... an Environmental Health Officer, now how ironic is that lol

Mine bought one into the house once. I did not know about it until I started to hear squeaking noises when she played with it!

My little bugger caught one and brought it in a couple of years ago, came into the lounge and promptly dropped it onto the floor. At which point, it decided it wasn't dead and ran for it, straight under the sofa! Took us half an hour to catch the little sod, with the cat trying to get in the door (we had shut him out of the lounge) and eventually put it back in the garden.

Cute little sod it was too!

Older Hot Bearded Guy

My one and only time when I couldn't get 'wood', was with an ex that I ran back into, a number of years after we'd split up. We randomly bumped into each other in a club, went back to hers and were getting frisky in her bedroom, when I heard a scuffling noise beside the bead...

Turns out her pet rat had woken up and was wondering what was going on.

Before you ask, it was in a glass tank and no, I hadn't noticed it, when I first walked in.

Needless to say, the rat didn't get to see much after that

aw poor little mouse .... and poor little Minxie

I remember years ago my cat brought one in, the poor wee thing ran under the Christmas tree skirt to hide, I could see it's little tail poking out, so I pulled on it (to rescue it before the cat found it) and the bugger bit me!

I like mice.... now if it had been a spider

My cat brought one inside one night. The mouse was held firmly between his teeth... until the bloody cat miaowed at me, as if to show how proud he was at catching this damn mouse. The mouse seized the opportunity and jumped to the floor before running into the kitchen. It then hid underneath the kitchen cupboards...I had to pull the kitchen apart to get the little fucker out.

I can see how a skittering, lively mouse might cause upset as it scurried around the house. But a dead one? Just needs to be picked up and flushed down the toilet.
