Absolutely amazing how many profiles have different ages on them where it says a certain age alongside the person details then another age in the narrative below. It's also strange how so many guys change their age in messages thinking it will make a difference.

The usual excuse is that the site won't let them change it after they made a mistake. News for you. It does allow you to put it right.

Usually a wrong age (by multiple years, not just tweaking their birthday by a little for anonymity) is to get round peoples filters.

Shows a clear disregard for someone’s boundaries and preferences so is a block from me when it happens. The more whiney the “I had to do that or no one replies”, the quicker the block.

I had a guy message me, (he wasn't what I was interested in) we chatted for a bit, he then tells me he was 20 years older than his profile, he says he kept it low as people didn't want to meet older men, what a shock they must have had if someone meet him

I met a guy last year whose profile said he was 38 and then a few days later it changed. Anyway when it came to meeting I asked him about it and it turns out he was actually 50 but didn’t want to put his real age down as he thought he wouldn’t get any meets. He could’ve passed for 38 easily but I don’t understand why he lied about it in the first place

Worst example I've seen was a guy who claimed to be 55 in 2018 but in a chatgroup admitted he was actually 58.

He left and returned with a new profile showing him as 50 and having left and come back yet again he is now 58.

It's a real bug bear of mine, our ages are correct even though it does make meets difficult as one of us is usually outside the other couples age preferences, me being too young or him too old, if I could shave five years off him and add it to me sorted lol.

We have found this.

We have tried to keep our profile as honest as possible so when/if we meet, we are as expected.

We think people do it to attract more meets, age range etc.

How they think it will work os beyond us.

We use age as a guide rather than a rule... we would take your average age and use that lol.

We actually would go outside our age range as long as everyone clicked.

Some people also seem confused about their height and weight.

I often see posters who indicate something like 60 or 70 lbs, when they clearly mean kilograms. Have seems. Few women listed at around the 5 foot 6 mark who are clearly a foot shorter. And one who was 3 foot 9 (no, she wasn’t)

For the record my age is slightly out but only by a few months as I don’t want every Tom, Dick and Harry on a fuck site knowing my actual date of birth, suffice to say I am either, or soon will be, 50 in 2022

Oh no .. the main obvious thing in regards age is 90pc of women's profiles ages are bullshit. Always add on 10pc at least as a basic rule. Dating sites are full of female profiles where they own up to their age being wrong but they ' can't change it' .. lol .. it's easy to change.. you delete your profile and you start again with the correct age !! Pmsl ..

I tend to look at them and listen to them and then say yes or no.....

ffs.... I look younger than a lot that are my age and I also look older than others my age.

The site changes your age each birthday. It doesn't change the text of your profile.

I sometimes think if I said I liked lemon pudding but ordered a chocolate pudding there'd be a thread on here calling me a liar.

I have put my correct age, however if i knocked 10 years off, no one qoukd question it, I just look young.

I decided to put an honest age up as I value truth.

However when someone puts a block over 55 it does make me wonder if I should have been more economical with the truth.
