Soo I have my face publicly showing on here, and going from the other threads on this subject, maybe it’s not such a great idea?

Personally it’s my shop window, people view in and if they don’t like… they don’t buy, but also open to ridicule too.

Should I have it set to friends only… and only send in private message to save the viewers a shock when clicking into my profile?

But I don’t want loads of compensation claims through the post… iPhone screens are expensive! Haha

Depends if you mind your face and your profile potentially being put out where friends and family can see it.

At this time of day it’s all about the bags (or suitcases) under the dry eyes.

I’m close on 50yrs old… no spring chicken anymore, so the crows feet are standard. Haha

The general thought is that not showing your face is safer as it adds levels of anonymity. If you’re happy being recognised in public then crack on!

Some people do show theirs, others don’t. It’s personal choice

If I’m recognised in public then that’s fine, as long as said person doesn’t approach me in my working capacity.

Unfortunately that can’t be guaranteed.

My worry is you may choose to share it for a few minutes for comments/compliments but someone who recognises you screenshots it along with your profile and forum posts/messages and before you know it your parents/kids/employers/clients/neighbours have all seen it.

I value my privacy too much for all that drama. But, if you don’t share my concerns then good for you, crack on and have fun.

I'm fairly sure after a thread yesterday that I know what your job is. I knew exactly where you were yesterday too. The likelihood of me approaching you is zero, I'd never do it to anybody but some people have a different approach to life.

You're an open and friendly man that much is obvious but that does come with certain risks on a site like this, quite low risk though.

You decide if it's a risk you want to take

Also your tattoo is unique, obviously it's not going to be on show daily but people who know you will know it's you

Thank you for your comments Lou…

I’ve been outed at work already so that’s no issue, I’m an adult, and if people want to talk in my workplace that’s their issue.

I’m more an open book kinda guy… what you see is what you get… and I thought maybe showing my mug openly may just attract the people who may want to interact with me, rather then disappointment when they see later on.

That the worry for lots I think, the action of what other people do to try to ruin your life.

People can be nasty, I’m very aware of it.
