So I bottled a meet at the weekend with a really exciting girl because I didn't feel like we got to know each other better before.

Have you ever bottled one for the same reason or is it just me

I haven't ,because I'd never agree to meet until I felt ready & even then it would be for a social

Do what feels right for you and don't be pressurised to meet sooner than you're comfortable .

Did you let her know or did you just not turn up?

Yes it's normal to want to get to know someone a little first. Ultimately you need to be comfortable on a first meet so don't do it until you're ready. If your meet has issues with that, your meeting the wrong person.

I would never bottle a meet, even if anxious, just gotta go for it and enjoy the experience.

Otherwise you're left wondering what if? What if she is amazing and you're not getting a second chance? What if it could have led to something amazing?

Fair enough though.. each to their own

Perfectly normal.

We're people we have fears, insecurities, doubts, vulnerability. You did right (providing you let her know) don't ever do something you're uncomfortable with

That's par for the course op. The only thing I'd say is, I've thought I'm getting a good handle on someone through messages, then I meet them for coffee/drink and there's no real spark. You still have a great social but the attraction isn't there in real life. So my advice would be to meet people for a social, even if you feel nervous, (I'd be concerned if you were completely without any nerves tbh,) it's really is the only way to know for sure.

Good luck

Meets aren't something that I have, but if I arranged to meet somebody then I'd have to be at deaths door before I cancel

Why didn’t you meet for a social and get to know each other?

Wow.

Judging by the action shots on your profile I would ‘t have pegged you as someone that bottled a meet with an exciting girl.

But follow your heart, if it doesn’t feel right its not right

Were you doing sex chat via messages before you'd met her in person?

Was the meet going to be for sex?

I couldn’t say it better myself. Never do anything you’re not comfortable doing, but make sure you communicate with all parties involved.

I haven’t because I make sure I’m 100% I want to meet them but I do most of the time have an urge to cancel because of nerves. I know how it feels to be cancelled on so I push myself to go and then end up enjoying it.
