apparently I just made someone giggle so much with this one, that it brought tears to their eyes;

They need shaggin with the blunt end of a rag-mans trumpet!

One i heard my mum and her friend saying many years ago when I was only about 9 or 10 and had no idea what they were on about then as I got older it just came to me out of the blue and I said 'Oh lol' to myself

'You don't look at the mantlepiece when your poking the fire'

A good friend of mine has recently started using golly and gosh (recently moved in with mother) and it got me thinking what a small pool of exclamations we use.

The English language has got some cracking words and it makes life a bit more interesting if we explore it.

Added to which we're far less likely to offend

My mam always uses "Blimey O'Reilly" as an exclamation, and I've found myself doing the same on occasions when my personal favourite of "Fuck me sideways" would possibly offend (or when speaking to little people (that's children, not midgets obviously))

I love that one

One that makes them giggle at work is when I say Spray it on the wall and I will read it when it's dry
