Love an accent, any to be honest. It tickles my ears and I just can't help but want to copy, to the point of sounding like I'm patronising them.

Really finding a lovely Irish lass utterly adorable, especially when she realises just how dusty her telly is

I’m not sure it’s the accent, but rather the accent combined with how it is used.

Some women’s accents are catnip to me - Sara Cox, Angela Raynor, AOC.

Don’t really have any favourites, since love them all dependent on person and mannerism in which they speak.

Well, as I've said a couple of times, having been born just across the water from Sean Connery, and can therefore order a vodka martini, on the rocks, shaken not stirred in the same tone of voice, when we get as far as exchanging phone numbers sufficient curiosity gets aroused and a date invariably follows, not to mention that I just know when she is touching herself as we engage in stimulating conversation.

That’s what I was thinking. We all know the Glasgow and west accent is top tier. Now come on who even is Ken?

The softer Highlands accents for me.

This is something that puzzles me about accents. They are often very different but we are still able to categorise them. A Cardiff accent is totally different to say a Barmouth one yet but are recognisably Welsh. Taking the scale up, a New Yorker sounds nothing like a person from Southern Louisiana yet we have no difficulty in recognising them both as American and can separating them from Canadian even though the New Yorker is far closer geographically to Toronto than Lafayette.

How do we do this?

Mr
