"We thinking about purchasing one our agreement is I got caught in a blizzard - 20f one a road for 18 hours can a EV sustain that heat source that long without a recharge? " In theory an ev uses less electricity than a petrol equivalent does doing the same thing… just because there are less running components

"Get one with a heat pump. But in cold conditions with no regeneration it’s going to get cold. Using the heated seats would probably use less energy than heating the whole car. " National guard can come out put gas in it all set within 25 minutes.

Option a) rent house to skier's over winter, rent a motorhome and evade natural disasters like a Nick Cage movie. Option b) move within walking distance of work, friends, family (delete if you already do). Option 3) look at Sweden and Norway and how they are cope with sub zero temps as they aren't pushing lekki motors to work. Option 4) do some arctic training, carry tins of beans in frunk of motor, star jumps, wordle.

" Heating and other ancillary requirements do not compare to the power of turning the motors to drive the car. I say a report on a test using a Tesla Model Y in a -11 Celsius carpark, which demonstrated 60 hours with a constant cabin temp of 16 degrees. In an EV, you can also extend the battery like in this situation by reducing the cabin temp, where as that wouldn't effect how much petrol/diesel you used. Cal

"I ask because you all are the climate control activist's. Explain that scenario.. people freezing from dead batteries. Green wouldn't care if you freezing. " Same applies if you run out of fuel. There's the added danger of carbon monoxide poisoning if you get snowed under and don't keep the exhaust pipe clear to the outside while the engine is running.
