I have just read an article regarding the practice of people sending inappropriate pictures to others near them using airdrop or similar.

The cps have updated their guidelines to include this .

I’ve never had this happen to me personally. I had never even heard of it until I read the article. As airdrop has to be done in close proximity, I can see how people might find this really intimidating.

Has this happened to anyone here?

I did an airdrop on the train once.

Almost cleared the carriage.

"I haven't heard of airdrop"

It’s a way of sharing docs/images on apple devices.

Wasn’t that an air biscuit?

Doesn’t the recipient have to accept the image being sent? Why would you accept something blindly? Isn’t it an obvious virus risk?

Wondering how it actually plays out.

I think you can change phone settings to suit, it’s not something I’d accept for that very reason.

We did some airdrop ping on holiday recently (non sexual) - sharing some pics.

The recipients have to accept them

You have to be really close - why accept something you're not expecting - it's a bit like sending pics over Bluetooth
