Bring back the 2 metre rule. Better still about 10 should do it.

Make it illegal for people to stand behind you in shops/bars with their sweaty bodies.

Oh, and fill a water bottle with water, pop it in the fridge. Huge ice cube!

Take off all your clothes. And if that doesn't help, sit with the fan pointing directly at the bit of your body which needs cooling the most. For me that would be my inner thighs

I’ve been relying on a carefully honed routine that involves a shower, sheet in the fridge before bed, cooling spray, gel cooling pillow inserts, fan and lots of cold drinks and ice cream/lollies - still been too bloody hot and waking several times a night! I need a decent sleep at this point!

I'm definitely doing some of these.

I can picture myself with a sheet rapped around me that's been in the fridge, whilst using the fan and frozen water trick, with my feet in a bowel of water whilst spraying myself with a cold moisturiser, all at the same time.

I can't cope in the heat, it makes me feel sick.

I keep my windows shut during the day (keeping hot air out) and open all of them in the evening (lets the cooler air in). I also have tepid temp showers.

Tie wet rags (bandages?) around your neck, wrists and ankles. These are places where you can feel your pulse. The evaporation of the water cools the blood.

In Bangkok, the girls have a cool shower (tap water isn’t cold), wrap a towel around themselves, and lie on the bed. The water evaporation from the towel takes heat from their bodies. Works better under a ceiling fan.

Air conditioning? No we have well insulated buildings designed for the more usual colder weather to keep the heat IN! I’m in a Victorian tenement block in glasgow! We are not built for the heat here at all!

Hope the sheet trick works for someone I think I’ll have to use 2 sheets and switch them out through the night

For the benefit of USA fabbers it’s apparently currently 61f but with 78% humidity - and again NO air con

I have suggestions earlier . You don't need frean to cool your home. I think I more experienced on the heat aspect. It does work. The you tube video I posted

4of them at it's 68atbmy house out of as 93f day.There are options.

TBh I do not understand the green climate BS.we have 3 houses we visit here Falmouth Massachusetts and Sarasota Florida. The geographic areas dictate the fuel source to feel comfortable. Florida for instance.. it Air conditioning. Here a mix and then Massachusetts gas.

I'm not a fan of hot weather, and normally find my sleep badly disrupted.

I bought myself a cooling blanket from Amazon a few months back with little hope that it would work but it actually does! Bought it for menopausal night sweats, kept it for hot weather.

Some sort of blankety magic going on, but I slept like a baby in the last hot spell and I've no doubt it will help this time.
