Good posture shows confidence.

I watched a body language expert where he talked about how good posture shows confidence, here is the video.

He gave few examples on political leaders of how they commanded respect by just how they walked up to the stage to talk, also how women did the cat walk and also on few speeches, he then did a fun exersize for us to try on how to say no, dont just say no, say no with a commanding voice, do you also agree with it?

A lot of it is true. You can make fairly good assumptions about someone just by how they carry themselves.

The one thing I don’t get is that weird pointy fist thing all politicians do.

You are right there as some gestures are smooth and broad which shows confidence and yes.

I also wonder about that fist and as well that expert said some do that pointy fist which isnt so popular to do

I’m guessing they believe it shows conviction. Maybe that was true years ago but now it just looks forced and awkward.

I'm always confused by Putin's body language.

He's always slouching in his chair when with another leader, like he's uninterested in what's happening.

Also Boris Johnson's he really doesn't look like a world leader.

Liz Truss has a confident posture more so than Rishi Sunak I think.

Fiona Bruce has good body language too

How does one convey confidence from a seated position on wheels? No confident striding here, just hobbling and saying owww if I have to stand still. Maybe it's running over people's feet, like a death-grip handshake?!

My posture has always been awful due to my height. I lower my head so not to hit on door frames or magnetic door lock strips lol

But when I do adjust my posture and stand up straight I feel like " Pow"

I believe there's an element of truth to it but there's often multiple factors at play. My posture isn't great. I grew big boob at quite a young age and I was insecure about it. I slouched but it was a combination of that and the actual weight of them.
