Secret hideaway in the pennines

2nd no show and no contact in a week, starting to wonder if there is something wrong with me

Maybe not you directly, maybe your vetting procedures, so you indirectly.

It happens on a long enough time scale, don't let aberrant data skew your perspective, could just be a compressed phase of blah.

If you're that bothered, reflect on the steps leading too it, what could be done differently?

"2nd no show and no contact in a week, starting to wonder if there is something wrong with me"

Absolutely it isn't you. It's people doing what people do

Maybe there are valid reasons and maybe life has been a bit manic but it absolutely isn't something you have done

I know what you mean though and it's never nice, you do end up thinking it's you

"Adding insult to injury, she has now blocked me. WTF!!!!!! "

It happens I've had two in the last week.

If she's on the forums she's probably seen this and that's why. Some people only want the attention and not actual meets I wouldn't read into it to much OP.

I wonder if fab gives the wrong impression to people.

I don’t know if it’s numbers or as time has passed people see Fab as just a place to piss about. But less people seem to meet up, and more people seem to fuck people about.

Sorry op, just tick it off as a lesson learned.

-*just my opinion.

"Adding insult to injury, she has now blocked me. WTF!!!!!! "

Has she just found your name on a register?

Seriously, I think Blue-eyed gave the best answer. Being ghosted is all about the other person's faults not yours, the only way to reduce it happening is getting better at spotting dickheads. That aside, no it absolutely isn't you.

Congratulations BTW for not giving this thread a title like "what is wrong with women?" Blaming an entire gender for the shitty behaviour of a few seems to be something of a trend in these parts

I've had to cancel at short notice to work commitments, it happens.

People also have the right to back out if they want to. I'm fussy, I do state that lol I hate messages that say I'm free now faf? I can't just drop everything.

I like how I click with someone, captivate my imagination a bit then get me naked

wasn't short notice, because of my shift pattern, I have to plan ahead.

We all know the I'm free tonight FAF messages don't work.

You live and learn I guess

Maybe your secret hideaway is just too secret and nobody can find you.

"I don't understand people just don't turn up, what's so difficult about saying, sorry I've changed my mind...

"

If our decade on Fab has taught us anything, it's that there is a given percentage on people on here are just out to take the piss.

We've only ever been stood up a handful of times on private meets with no contact then blocked so some would say thats good going (because we usually favour well verified people) but in those cases it WAS well verified people which was frustrating.

We've also run social events, parties and other things (plus attended our fair share as well) and there's always a percentage that just never show and cant be bothered to let you know in advance.

Statistically, for socials and partys the worse offenders are single guys followed by single women (when it comes to actual verified people). They're also the group who stood us up. Well verified couples tell to turn up but even then, some don't....but they always message you and say why. Not having a pop at any group, just sharing our experience.

The thing that pisses us off is that the people who do this are just selfish. They let you waste time, money and effort just for them to not be bothered. We're a hundred percent fine with people changing their minds, having something pop up or not feeling it when they time come but the whole, ghosting and / or blocking you is just being a selfish self-centred prick. That social or party space could go to someone else who did want to come. Leaving us sat in a pub after travel and sitter costs etc, yeah thanks for that.

But worse still are the ones who say "on my way, see you in an hour" then just never show, just to see a veri for something or someone else they opted to go to / meet instead.

To many people in the forums brush it off with something as simple as "well people have a right to change their mind" but dont we have a right to not have our time, money and effort wasted?

Unfortunately very little will change on fab. It's just a minefield you have to navigate on occasions. I can honestly see why the club scene is more popular now. No messing about, just go and have fun.

I’m sorry. She did miss out. You’re a lovely fella to spend an afternoon with.

I do think it’s vile behaviour- having no respect for your free time. I think some people are just too chicken to say no.

That’s why I’ve stopped meeting. Sad really after all these years on fab.

GG x

Don't worry I'm sure there's plenty of women out there that will happily get in a sweaty mess with you!

But I’d like to hope if your plans change/you’re not up for it anymore you’d be kind enough to let someone know.

It’s the ones that just ‘ghost’ that are frustrating. I’ve never understand that behaviour.
