This story has been with me for about 30 years now, ever since I was introduced to it.

('Introduced': sneaking into my older cousin's room on visits to read his Batman and Dredd comics, and one day finding the dark and pale visage of the Lord of Dreams hidden away under his bed)

It's the most important and beloved story I've ever read, by the most life-changing writer I ever picked up, and now I get to watch it.

And now, so do you.

People often wonder how the sandman has enough sand in the bag to make everyone sleep.

Applying a little lateral thinking, who says he takes it out? A bag full of sand can be an effective cosh.
