We hear a lot about guys who are tradesmen recounting tales of ‘….. and I was just sorting the taps and in she comes with nothing on blah blah’

How many of you will actually confess to jumping on a tradesman who’d come to fix something else entirely??

And…. Over to you!!

PS. Are there women in the trades who have jumped a customer on a job? Works both ways i guess xx

Tradesmen for nearly 20yr. In that time only one ever suggested something. And I said no, as she was angling a ‘favour’ rather than payment. Which kind of insulted my work.

Thats another aspect - this could turn into a great discussion thread xx I have absolutely no DIY skills and my leering definitely needs work…. But I can see how it’s quite an unpleasant situation to be in. X

Every man that has been in our house working has been nothing but friendly and professional. I've always been friendly too but since joining fab I deliberately stay well out of the way and after offering tea etc keep communication to a minimum unless Mr N is there.

Since December last year I've had anything up to 15 workmen in my house on a daily basis and not once would I dream of chasing them round for sexual favours.

Porn seems to create a lot of fantasies which don't happen that often in real life

I've had many a pervy thought about the various tradies I've had round, and I've often had a flirt with someone, but that's it. Nothing more. Flirting is fun and doesn't mean they're looking for shenanigans with me!

I wouldn't mix business with pleasure like that, I'd feel like I was taking advantage of the fact I'm paying them by making them feel they can't say no without losing the work, and paying them for sexual favours, which I'd not want to do anyway.

I have many trade friends and it's actually looking more common for women to hit on tradesmen in the hope of non payment. One of my friends is a mechanic had to do a breakdown call out and recovery, she offered a few sexual favours, it got so awkward he didn't feel safe recovering her with the car and called her a cab. Not a nice situation to be in

I do love the way you guys have so many different viewpoints on a subject - not contradictory but aspects that aren’t necessarily obvious from the question.

I guess the main point Im making is that there’s an urban myth that this goes on mainly propagated by porn - but also the occasional tradesman that’s - ‘knocking them back’ all over the place and I wanted to see if theres any ladies that said - yes - i have.. I actually don’t believe it happens at all for a lot of the reasons you’ve given so far.

I do think in many of the stories told by tradesmen where the woman was flirting or being saucy, giving glimpses, or coming onto said worker, she was probably doing nothing more than going about her day and he caught a peep of side boob or something whilst she was getting changed expecting him to be in a different area of the house. I mean, if some geezers think a woman wearing a bikini in her own garden is a signal she wants an unknown neighbour to pop over for sex then what other wires must get crossed doing basic everyday going about your own fucking business?

I get uncomfortable with tradesmen in my house having seen what I've seen on here over the years. Part of me wants to watch their every move to make sure they ain't searching out worn knickers to sniff and the other part of me wants to be as far away as possible in case they think I'm giving them a raging boner by simply being female and allowing them into my house.

I mean, if I didn't want them to "cum" in, why did I let them through the front door right?

I've had tradesmen who my landlord employed in a house I rented a while ago. They decided it was fine to look through my lingerie and the lingerie of the other person who house shares with me. They had worked there for a day or two and had made some inappropriate comments to us both on a couple of occasions which made us a bit uneasy.One day both of us had to work and made sure our bedrooms were shut and all dressers etc were shut but sure enough when we got home there were dirty footprints in our bedrooms and the dressers were open a bit. Now they had no reason to be in that part of the house that day so we knew they had been up there just for a look.

Where we turned on? No we were absolutely furious that grown men who were employed to do a job couldn't keep their minds on the work they were meant to do and decided they had a right to perv through our lingerie.We told the landlord and them that we thought it was pathetic that grown men think they have a right to do that and it was a complete invasion of privacy as well ,they denied it as first then tried to laugh it off a bit of a joke. It wasn't it was vile and showed what pathetic individuals they are.

^^there was a TV documentary many years ago where a tradesman was suspected of just this. Hidden cameras revealed him masturbating into the woman's dressing table drawers. Now, apart from the hygiene issue I just didn't know where to start with how many levels of wrong that is. Sadly I see things on here that show that a lot of men still think this is a bit of fun and actually encourage each other

I hope you told the landlord as he’s ultimately responsible for the behaviour of the people he contracts to do work.
