So what are some musicians that you feel had their best moment at their debut. Doesn't mean they were completely garbage after their first album just never hit the same heights.

For me The Killers are the first name that spring to mind

After that Guns N Roses. Appetite For Destruction is a classic and they just went crazy with success afterwards.

Somewhere In The Ether…

A controversial one perhaps, but for me, Iron Maiden’s first album with Paul Di’anno on vocals was their very best

He has so many but Eminem. Slim Shady was raw and every song is amazing on it. Marshall Mathers is a very close second but his music has gotten gradually worse since then.

Slim Shady is not a pop album. The rest are. Marshall Mathers had the most epic singles. The Eminem Show is a good album but nowhere near as good as the other two in my opinion.

Liverpool

The Strokes and the Arctic Monkeys had impossible acts to follow with their first albums.

Biffy Clyro were amazing from Blackened sky in 2002 till infinity land in 2004. From puzzles onwards they went commercialised. Some good tunes but just not the same.

Gerry cinnamon after Erratic Cinematic.

Propaganda with a Secret Wish album. I liked their next one called ‘1,2,3,4’.

Also Frankie goes to Hollywood, Welcome to the Pleasuredome. The next album ‘Liverpool’ didn’t do too well at all.

Yeah I prefer. Raw, more energy, overall listen to them songs more than what's the story. But that might be that they were overplayed.

Not a massive gulf between then, 3rd album I didn't mind, then after that they weren't worth listening too.
