We will see less of it at football matches during the coming after a big pow wow by club captains..

Did it achieve anything?

It had to stop at some stage, they couldn't carry on doing it forever.

As with all protests, you do it too much and it generates hatred. They even lied about the meaning. Kaepernick was rightly protesting police brutality, not the made-up crap they said.

They put relations back years and for what?

Not sure they put relations back years but does feel as though it ran its course. Some would like it to continue but when you watch it and stop taking a moment to think about the reasons then you know it isn’t having such an impact. It did when it first took place. Just my thoughts

I also hate it when politicians jump on the back of things like this.

That picture of Kier Starmer taking the knee in his office made me cringe.

Or when Boris n Co clapped for carers.

It was good as it highlighted an issue, young fans saw it and asked questions etc. It's not really done to please 50+ year olds as we know by know that they hate and moan about everything these days.

Personally would have liked them to continue, but I guess still doing it for the big games isn't dropping it completely

It should have been a one off thing or players all doing it in the middle of a match across all games on a weekend. That would have made a much bigger statement.

It’s just an empty gesture now but I think it was great to see everyone making a stand against racism and police brutality.

What's going on is at this current moment in time 18 out of 20 club's have chosen who they think is best person to be captain.

Not sure why colour should be an issue,if they are the right person.

Are you suggesting that there is a lack of diversity?

But it's the captains called together to vote on the knee and critics complaining that most of the captains are white..

Presumably the same people asking why the lionesses were white

Surely, all the clubs will have chosen the person that they consider to be the best captain.

Around 3% of the UK population are black. There’s isn’t many other ethnic minorities with a large presence in the Premier League so 18 out of 20 is a good representation of that.

They refuse to judge people on merit and want to reduce people down to their skin colour and sexual orientation. Which is against Human Rights.

The captains will be representing their teams which include black players. I’m sure they would have asked for opinions before speaking on their behalf.

They aren’t but even with they were as long as they were the best 11 players in their positions and the subs were the second best it should not be an issue.

Well Tom, a lion is one of the group of felines in the category of big cats. The male of the species is called a lion and the female is called a lioness.

Therefore, calling the England ladies football team the lionesses would seem more appropriate than calling them the lions.

It was made an issue but not by Tom.
