I'm looking at an online news story about scientists in North America who have developed the means for men to physically experience what period pains are like.

Do we all need to experience other people's plight and struggles? If so, what do you think others should experience in order to know what it's like to be you (tongue in cheek)

I'll go first...Thumb an uncooked cold pork sausage into the top of a peeled orange, and know the struggle is real.

Everybody needs to experience stepping on Lego at least once in their life.

I'll see your Lego and raise you an aged Holly leaf in your bare feet.

Treat your Lego properly and it will never hurt you.

Mistreat it, and your nightmare has only just begun

No I don't think so. I think everyone should show compassion And empathy when it's need but I don't think we need to have experience something to do those things.

Oh my goodness I agree with this although stepping on a barbie shoe comes close.

I don't think we need to experience them but I do think we need to stop thinking we know what other people's experience of something is.

I've watched videos of men with period pain and Labour pain simulators. They're hilarious

People who leave their dog's shit on the floor should have to pick it up with their bare feet.

I'm in the school of thought that says you HAVE to have gone through something to truly empathise.

To empathise with me, you'd have to want to stand on the wind pipe of every whistler you meet....

My last one was in the local pool changing rooms... I really did want to follow him and hold him under the water.

Why do people think it's a treat for everyone else to listen to their high pitched out of tune din!

It's called LEGO (Not LEGOS, Yankees) as this is a contraction of "Let go!", as screamed when you see siblings squabbling over the newly unwrapped pressie, that brings out their selfish Gollum streak.

Lego is wasted on kids. The prices prove it!

I'll raise you with

fillings without anaesthetic

tooth ache from impacted wisdom teeth

migraines

endoscope hitting the bend inside the colon, when you forget to drain all of the gas and air, from the gas tanks. (Love that stuff!)

Crushed nuts, in a pink coin purse, the sort that stops you from breathing when injured.

My boudoir - S Wales

I have two sex related ones…

When a guy is slightly too long for you and pokes your cervix a bit too hard while pounding you from behind!

And when a you’re being fingered vigorously (in itself rather painful unless extremely rampant -for me anyway) and the finger catches your pubic bone inside.

What’s the male equivalent of these please? They can’t be worse!! Surely.

I'd like to know if a kick to the nuts is as painful as childbirth.

I'm not sure which part of childbirth they talk about.

Maybe when the head crowns and it feels like your vagina is going to split in half.

Diagonally Parked in a Parallel Universe

If anyone wants to share the pain of a foot when the steel toe-cap boot on it is crushed by 6 tonnes of industrial fork lift truck, your welcome.

I still get severe pain 20+ years later!
