Without wanting to get the thread shut down, in BDSM it is not an uncommon fantasy or type of play. The emphasis is on there being genuine consent including being in a fit condition to give consent, and that it is pretend. Normally you would expect a fair bit of discussion and negotiation.

Completely agree. I’ve no idea who is telling the truth in the footballers case so I guess it would be wise to have something in writing or video to confirm it’s role play.

Videos and writing won't work as the victim can still claim they were coerced before signing the document or being filmed. A well known hardcore kink film company based in the armoury which videoed the consent and the running through of safe words and etiquette before the scene ran into that problem.

The safest way (on both sides) is get to know the person before playing. But any kink play is never entirely safe. Which is why I believe get educated before playing.
