Did anyone collect the original Pokémon cards ?

Was having drinks earlier and bbq got talking about this .. I got my folder out that I collected when I was like 10.. Googled and checked on eBay the value of some of my first edition cards.. one card alone is 30k between just 5 cards got to 65k happy days

No but most of my mates did. Some of them am supposedly worth a fortune now

Couldn't believe it mate I knew they were valuable that's why I held on to them .. but my charizard first edition is 30k!!!

My eldest used too, he's 28 now and took them with him when he moved out, those and Yu Gi Oh cards, he used to love the tins and each Birthday/Christmas the tins were all he asked for, he has a few rares but too sentimental for him to sell
