The Romanian Brown Bear

Tom has been learning about the Romanian Brown Bear. Romania is an ancient land to the east were just 35000 years ago humans lived amongst ancient cave bears which is another marker that man lived amongst the dinosaurs. In more recent times the country was ruled by a dictator called Nicol Chaecescu. He ordered that villages must feed these wild beasts so that his party members and VIPs could hunt them. This legacy has left about 6000 of these buggers that regularly attack sheep, tourists and villages at night leaving people literally fearing for their lives. The government has removed a ban on hunting them and licences are sold to hunt them. Villagers inflate the bear numbers to encourage the number of hunters and make more money. There are a lot of fingers in this Romanian Bear Pie. Are there any fabsters on here with Romanian roots who can put their slant on this?

What exactly is going on here guys?

"Ceausescu was a disgrace Tom and no mistake."

On the 25th of December 1989 he became a good Communist.

The famous quote of "The only good Communist is a dead Communist". There is also "Better dead than red".

It's great the way you link bears and dinosaurs. Have you read anything that says they coexisted?

Are you suggesting that they cohabited?

I'm not sure there's much evidence of dinosaurs living in caves.

The evidence suggest that cave bears lived in caves .. hence the name .. cave bears...

Man lived then and they were a food sauce and vice versa.

Sometimes cave bears won and sometimes cave humans won

Hang on Tom! What happened to the Romanian Brown Bear m8? You got sucked in by someone saying "Cave Bear" did you research show that the Romanian Bears lived in caves, as I think that's a common behaviour trait in most Bears .... especially when sleeping and/hibernating

The evidence is there and the consequence are still with us to this day. The reason that men snore and fart so loudly was to keep the dinosaurs away from the cave - thus protecting wives & children. Who knew?
