Ladies, if we send messages and they're not read, does that mean you haven't seen them or just look straight away and think nah?

I tens to try again after a couple of weeks, bit by doing so am I just pissing you off?

Also, and I'm sure I'm not the only guy who thinks this, I understand you get like a bajillion messages a day, but if you open a message and you're not interested, could you at least reply with no? VERY few do, and those that do, I block so I don't hassle again.

The etiquette goes both ways.... I understand there are a lot of arsehole men on here, but we're not all like that, and I personally arent exactly certain what to do sometimes....

Thoughts?

Nothing nasty please, constructive only xx

Send the message, then delete from the sent box. I find that's far better, and the occasional message in my inbox is more likely to be interesting.

If you’ve sent more than 2 and you don’t get a response, take that as not interested.

If deleted = not interested.

If read and not replied = not interested!

Read the faqs

No reply = not interested DO NOT message again that’s annoying

We really don’t have tone to reply to all messages! I’ve had over 200 today alone. Plus when we do reply “no thanks” we can get anything from stroppy to rude to abusive and even outright threatening responses!

If a message/profile pic looks potentially appealing I’ll check the profile (I’m always in stealth mode) if the profile looks decent (my criteria is - well verified, public pics not just of cock, decent bio indicating we have genuinely shared interests/approach) then I will check the message. If the message is ok then I’ll reply.

Boring messages, crude or cocky ones, “meet now” etc - instant delete!

This! A lot of women get 100s of messages a day! There’s just not time in the day to respond.

Sometimes I read a message but then mark as unread to remind me to respond to it when I have chance

If they don’t reply to the first message you shouldn’t send another comes across as desperate and needy

Unless someone replies its safe to say that they're not interested

Because if they don't reply how will they arrange to meet you?

Surely this is obvious?

I click on a profile before I open a message and if I’m not interested in the person I delete the message unread

No reply equals not interested on fab, whatever your expectations or experience elsewhere.

Women get hundreds of msgs sometimes and don't even always get round to reading them all.

"Sometimes I read a message but then mark as unread to remind me to respond to it when I have chance "

Unread = for me, means unseen or I haven't the time to look at your profile/ read the message, will do later, if I like your profile.

Read = haven't the time/ inclination to reply now, will later.

Deleted, whether read or unread = means no thanks.

Same. I definitely reply if interested or got the time to be polite and chat. But just because I reply, doesn't mean automatically I fancy or will fuck you. Most men are way too presumptuous. As every woman says on here, we got too much choice so end up being picky af as our body and free time is precious to us. Want the right man to treat us with respect and have fun. Too many timewasters here too so again very selective who to reply. I think there should be a mandatory lesson in how to use fab for men and timewasters should be banned. As what's currently going on isn't really working. Over covid times, there's been real shift in number of timewasters on here.

I usually reply with a polite ‘No thank you’ occasionally more. That’s assuming it was a polite message

Anything else I delete without replying - especially if it’s a silhouette profile with little content or a plethora of dick pics

Im addition to the other reasons people are giving... I dont reply to single guys because I frequently have you all filtered out. If I reply then you will always be able to get past my filters, and that will necessitate a block to stop you messaging me again.

And I dont wanna block people unnecessarily - If I click on a profile in the forum and see that I have blocked them, I think "oh, well, they are clearly not someone I have enjoyed interacting with previously" and avoid them from then on.

So replying actually opens my inbox wider and thats not what Im going for if Im not interested!

I’ve either been ignored. Or they don’t like me enough to reply after reading it and they mark it unread. I that’s the way I see it.

You already acknowledged that ladies get bjillion messages and some pointed examples of getting at least 200 per day, which will increase while online. Do they have to reply to each to follow you etiquette rules. Think about it.....

Fab even make it clear. No answer, move on.

If it’s no reply then don’t try again. You can unread messages. As for replying t&c say no reply not interested.

Fab FAQ's say no responce, it's not rude. It's a way to say your not interested.

Our account, we say only playing if statuts or meet is up. We still get daily offers. We don't reply to these. Why should we waste our time replying? If they'd of read the profile. They would not of messaged in first place.

I think an automated reply could work once you press delete. “Thanks but not what I am looking for “

I don’t mind a second message, because the first may have been missed, as long as it isn’t the exact same message.
