It’s a niche and squires taste I know.

But introducing my eldest to Kevin smith for films with good dialogue driven movies. And I’d say Tarantino and Smith are right up there. And we did Pulp fiction last.

Film fans!! Which Kevin smith film should I watch with him to give him the best intro to his movies?

As others have said Dogma is the one I think is his tidiest and more polished film. Maybe that’s the actors he had.

But Clerks is my favourite. I do like his writing style and all of them are able to be watched a second time or more simply because of the script. You can miss so much.

I think he's a bit hit and miss. Clerks and Dogma are classics and I liked Chasing Amy.

To introduce someone to Kevin Smith I would go for Jay and Silent Bob strike back, the reason is its funny, has Will Farrell, Chris Rock and although its hit and miss it can be really funny in parts.

If it was someone older then Dogma. It is intelligent, funny, juvenile and just brilliant. I would out it up against most mainstream movies and it would hold its own.

Mallrats and Clerks are acquired tastes, personally I love them, but as a first impression for people its marmite, you either love them or ate them. (see what i did there?)
