It depends. If it's a guys defining feature, much, much more developed than the rest of his body, including chest, then it's probably a no. Especially in hot weather

My back is kinda hairy. I used to want to wax everything off but thankfully I’m not in a much more happier place with my own body. No one has ever complimented my hairy back but no one has every said it’s off putting. You’re right though people do compliment hairy chests!

For the last few years my back become a bit hairy and I personally don’t like it. Glad waxing is easy and fast nowadays. 15 min and its smooth like never before
