trying to transfer data from my phone to my laptop however laptop cant detect my phone whilst they are both connected .. any ideas why .. im a techno phobe so go easy !!

I have a note and it is a nightmare. ..... took me 3 hrs to move 4 pics so i sacked it! !!!

I've also noticed this little stupid feature that smart phones have.

Now the usual picture folder is called DCIM so you;d think its a logical step to open the folder and copy over whatever pictures you have INTO THAT FOLDER specifically for pictures.

No, this does not happen.

Instead you need to go into the screen (on your computer) where you see all of the phone files and then copy it.

This then allows the phone to put them where it see's fit.

...in the image gallery, which is what the DCIM folder is.

Some serious /facepalms happened when I figured that out.

Use the Samsung Kies software ... Download it from their website
