There's always posts here about what winds you up? Or what grinds your gears? Etc. I thought I'd go the other way. What simple things in life makes you smile. For me, young children and babies laughing, usually at innocuous things, never fails to make me smile. Best noise in the world.

I saw a father and daughter along my street playing Kerbie, possibly for the first time since I played it as a kid with friends. That warmed my cold dead heart a bit

Animals doing animal things (except when the animals are hunting/killing or in danger/peril - that makes me sad)

What is Kerbie?"

It was/is a game we played as kids where one person stands either side of the street and tries to bounce the ball off the opponent’s kerb. You’re not allowed to block it but if it bounces and you catch it you can then take your shot from the middle of the street. If they catch that then you’ve to run back without being hit by the ball. It was more fun playing it than how it sounds with me explaining it

The abject misery on people's faces as they go to work on a Monday morning.

This comment made me smile. Nevermind having to witness it. Very nostalgic memories came back to me.

It made me smile.

We used to put a ball in some old tights and whack it against a wall. Like olden days Swingball.

Worthing

The cat that visits waiting at the backdoor most mornings. I don't feed her but do make a fuss. She sleeps in garden if warm.
