Any place can be nice...depends on who you go with and on weather. Bognor is not too bad in high summer. Like most uk places though, grey and cloudy weather can change the look entirely.

Never had the slightest inclination to go back there after killing a day between an early morning arrival by air and a late night train departure during my teens way back in 1963. On the way back I went straight from the train to the airport!

At the time, I felt the same way about London, then after a while got used to it. I never really liked it and now have no further desire to venture there or even hear about the place.

I have friends who think that the sun shines out of London's arse, i.e. most of it.
