Surely "seeing" involves with their eyes?

Dogs can most definitely glean lots of information through scent, but seeing through their noses is slightly inaccurate.

I allways liken their sniffing things to reading information x

And then they tend to piss on it... Much like humans

Yes, it's using concepts that we understand to try and explain a world we can't. I suspect what they're saying is that we can navigate around a 3d world using sight, bats do it with sound, it's not beyond understanding that dogs can do it with scent. Terry Pratchet described this years ago in his novels.

They can indeed see the future with their noses.

They can predict epileptic seizures and warn their owners well in advance and detect changes in blood sugar levels and give early warnings to those with severe diabetes.

The diabetes thing do they have to be taught that? As when my sugar levels are unusually high they do whiney around me! X

I'm fully sure some are massively clever... But mine just tend to sit on top of my head and whine until I let them in the garden or produce a biscuit

The only part they have to be taught us how to indicate to the owner.

In the USA they are trained to indicate differently for high and low sugars but over here just to indicate any change.

The epilepsy warning can be up to 45 minutes in advance but they have been known to indicate as much as 90 mins beforehand.

I've been involved in the training but I'm no expert

Note I put the word ‘see’ in inverted commas. But read the article before judging - I was surprised myself.
