So called scientists have plucked 48 new species from the deep sea bed in the cause of science presumably.

All of them now dead and dissected.. all for the good ?

Buggers

To learn. This is how new things are found, one of them could hold the cure for cancer...

What if this one act of perceived barbarity, actually generates a data set that ultimately preserves their species from non or man made catastrophes? Is the only argument I can make but personally, no, I couldn't experiment on an animal.. which means I don't object to others doing it, much the same way I don't mind non farmers/butchers eating meat...

That's what these science types always rely on to defend barbarism..

I wonder what other organisms we could dissect, in the pursuit of scientific understanding? I could imagine a few organisms I'd not mind taking a scalpel to

Modern medical science was greatly advanced by grave-robbing in the 18th/19th centuries. Sometimes transgression can be justified in the interests of progress.

I don't mean in a human centipede sense of course. There are limits.

Sharks and Crocs are evil buggers but these shellfish that crawl on the seabed in the deep do not harm mankind..

Have you not seen Abyss? They could well be evil buggers.

I hope you don't use antibacterial cleaning agents. The majority of the bacteria you slaughter are harmless.

No animal is evil. That's a ridiculous idea.

Animals do what animals need to survive.

Sadly humans learn about different species and how they "work" in a particularly awful manner but that's how we learn about our world.

If it's a new species they might .

How do we know .. Might whack the scalpel in one and it releases a toxin thats wipes humanity out .

So cheery me
