Some of my favourite old Skool (I thing that's how you spell it if you are down with the kids lingo

) puds and snacks are....

Bread & butter pudding, Cornflake tart and toast over a open coal fire (quite common when we were kids as from a little mining village) also jacket spuds done in the coal fire

Do you guys have any particular favourites?

never heard of that, we used to have something at school called chocolate cracknut with pink custard and it was delicious

I think you need to Don the dinner lady pinny and have another go at your choccy concrete

That crack it looks delicious! The chocolate concrete is a bit more brownie/biscuity. I'm not sure I will though, my family won't appreciate me palming it off on them

Lovely thick rice pudding

Any kind of crumble - really crunchy on top - with custard so thick you have to cut it. We always fought over who got the custard skin too!

Don't remember the name but saw a post about it recently and they called it "School cake". It was basically vanilla sponge with either white or pink icing then covered with multi coloured sprinkles. Served with custard!
