Diagonally Parked in a Parallel Universe

A 1968 Triumph Herald 13/60.

I bought it in 1980 whilst I was still 16, and prepared it for my 17th birthday. It was 12 years old, one owner from new and had 30,000 on the clock. I soon blew the engine up, so shoved a Triumph Dolomite engine in it, which gave it a bit of poke!

A 1970 Vauxhall Viva HB, no it's not a pencil. In chocolate brown, 2dr.

I thought it looked like a Vauxhall Ventora which looked like a Chevy Impala but was 10 times smaller and 200 times slower.

Worked great after I got a recon engine, gear box, new brakes, shocks, seat covers and pirelli rads tyres which were worth more than the car.

One was for sale for £4000 on eBay. I nearly bought it.

Renault Clio Mk3 1.2. Still driving it 7 years later. Not really inclined to get rid of it due to sentimental value. Plus it's a super simple car to fix by yourself...hardly cost me anything in maintenance and I've done the timing belt, water pump, electrics, brakes etc. by myself. Plan to run it until it truly dies but still going strong.
