Depends on your level and what type of case, partners can easily charge £450+VAT per hour of their time on private cases. Whereas legal aid matters are not so lucrative

Pilot - the skill, daredevil element, travel

Military generally - self assured, the uniform, feel safe with them

Generalisations don’t necessarily apply to every person in those professions of course.
