Is there anything we may not be aware of, when blocking a profile?

No cons at all , if someone isn’t remotely your bag then block and if you’re blocked the obviously you’re not theirs . Just the nature of the site

Thankyou so much for confirming what I thought. I've blocked them now.

It's just that they wrote something about not wanting to have to start blocking people, so it made me wonder why?

They can still see you on the forums

If they have you on their block list they can still see your profile status update and photo (when they look at their block list)

They can still block you as well

I think some people consider it to be a 'last resort', hence their comments about not wanting to start blocking. But I think it's one of the best filters anyone can use on here!

Pros - Restricts your content to them when you block

Cons - They can still see your status, profile photo and forum posts

Depending on how they are it could backfire

They maybe not have been applieing on fab but in real life was

But they been blocked

Like in my case

You can easily remove a block though.

It's not permanent.

Well now depends why your blocking them. When I was only a few days here I received a lovely message from someone. Long, personalised and was so different from all the other wanna fuck messages. I stupidly read the message while in the middle of doing something. I put the phone down with full intention of coming back reading it again and responding. When I did get time to do so I was blocked. I don't know if he just presumed as I read but hadnt replied that I wasnt interested. I wish now I hadnt deleted the message either as I should have mentioned it in the forums in hope that he'd see but I was very new here. Anyhow it obviously wasnt to be.

You can easily remove a block though.

It's not permanent.

Nope it’s permanently in my head and blocks in my head don’t get removed

No cons either way. If you block them, they're not for you. If they blocked you, they probably weren't for you either.
