Can travel….

I find with this one that people can travel …. But don’t prefer to.

So my question is … how far are you willing to travel for a meet?

Should the guy go the whole way or meet in the middle?

Curiosity….

Usually an hour at most.

For hotel meets or socials, usually try to meet halfway.

I'm too busy to spend time travelling and prefer to spend my time doing something more pleasurable.

We travel a fair amount for the right situation, on my husbands days off work. We always book a nice hotel and make it in to a little break for ourselves. It's all exciting and part of the experience. That's what we do personally, but everyone is different

Calderdale innit

I wouldn't travel too far or expect anyone else to.

My first meets are a social only anyway ,if i really wanted to meet someone who was further away ,I'd meet in the middle.

We’d travel around half an hour each way although we’d travel anywhere in the country for a club meet.

In the past have travelled over 200 miles to meet someone but it wasn't a first meet...

For that he travelled over 200 miles to see me

Nowadays I wouldn't go further than 20 miles

To meet someone for the first time, probably no longer than an hour as a couple. Any further it would be because we'd already built some kind of friendship with them and been planned a long time in advance.

On my own, I won't travel out of the area to meet someone for the first time.

Stanstead and Norfolk

I travelled 160 miles each way when I met T. F. M. V for the first time. We had arranged (on fab) to meet socially, for a cup of tea and slice of Lemon Drizzle. The tea was bland, the cake dry but the company was amazing.

Somewhere in Co. Down

I would travel about 45 mins away. I wouldn't expect anyone to travel any farther either to meet me.

I do expect the other person to make an effort as well though. I won't do all the travelling I did once and I won't again.

30-40 minutes max for me, which is why I say I can't travel cos I don't consider that travelling. I wouldn't want anyone further than that to come to me either (unless Scottish), incase they travelled all the way to see me and I wasn't into them.

I've done the whole "man do all the travelling" thing and that quickly turned into "man do it once so man can do it again" so now it's mutual effort or it doesn't happen.

Is that because you don’t like driving? Or just don’t feel the need to travel much further?

We’d travel a fair distance for a Fab social and a weekend away. We’d not have a problem travelling for a meet either.

Although, there is someone on my hotlist who lives about an 8 hour drive away - I think that will definitely be a meet in the middle sort of of weekend!!!

Tbh. I'm really tight for time and there is so much choice within a few miles i don't even look any further afield

An hour is a fair distance to travel… especially if that’s half way then that way opens more options
