Who else is watching a Sunday Matinee this noonday?

I'm watching a mid-60's disaster movie.

Oh you know, the special effects make my mascara look high tech, the acting is more wooden than an IKEA bookshelf, the protagonist is receiving one last saccharine kiss from his doting but manicured wife, before he sets off to 'make good' of the impending cataclysmic calamity.

My contemporary ultra-high definition television is struggling to upscale the archaic low-definition movie reel.

I wouldn't swap this for a bacon roll served with a Bloody Mary. It's all gøød stuff!

Next time turn the colour 'off' and watch the race in black and white. It gives it a nostalgic feel to it.

"Watched Bladerunner this morning waiting for the weather to clear and just finished watching The Irishman."

The Irishman was mediocre. Just a another money-for-old-rope 'Scorsese vehicle with his usual De Niro chums.

Bladerunner: absolute classic.

Yeah it does follow his usual formula and it's nothing groundbreaking but there are some strong performances.

Bladerunner is my favourite film of all time.
