So many smokers on here put themselves down as non smokers.

Presumably because they will get more meets that way but I'm getting to the point where I might just walk off or throw them out.

What's the point having a preference if people lie about it?

I don't mind meeting smokers but it's definitely noticable, even with the perfume or the chewing gum. It's a shame they feel the need to lie but you really should walk out or ask them to leave. If they betray your trust over this, what else would they be willing to lie about?

no thats fine but many folks do i had one girl try get me to go to the nhs for patches to quit as she really wanted to meet me once upon a time she was quickly relieved of active service

As a smoker who wishes he was not, I fully understand and respect people's choices not to meet smokers.

I stopped several years ago for quite a while and smelt smokers... There is no way to hide the fact that you smoke... You can get "meet fresh" and not smoke before a meet, but the smell will always come with you on clothes, hands, etc.

At least I can wear a wig and no one will ever know

I wish uk was like vancouver where smoking is banned in public full stop even the street what a difference it makes . I hate even shopping and folk puffing away on cigarettes and vaping etc and having to travel on public transport sitting around

We are very clear about being smokers and respect other peoples preferences. We are not into lying to get meets nor are we into being lied to for a meet.

Unfortunately many people seem to think they shouldn't have to respect others preference's, whatever they are for whatever reason they feel.

It's sad people cant just respect others wishes and leave it at that. Dont have to meet everyone on the site.

I’ve quit smoking since joining the site but still have a vape to help me along so have just left smoker on my profile. It amazes me how many people have said on their profiles that they won’t meet smokers but still message asking to meet up. I smoke (although very considerate when or if I am meeting someone, I won't do it during a social) but if I'm at a club and on chill time I may pop out for one but then after ill have a quick shower down and mouthwash and mints .. but it amazes me how many messages from men mainly that want to meet but when I point out they don't meet smokers, they just say "oh I do really."

I’d like to add to this, I’m a smoker I know terrible habit but I am one it’s clearly stated on my profile - what’s really weird is the amount of people who have it stated they won’t meet smokers yet are still msging me and then all of a sudden want to change their preferences!!

I used to have the odd cigarette but didn't put I was a smoker on my profile because I wouldn't smoke at all during meets and I didn't smoke enough that it would he noticeable in my clothes etc. But yeah if you're going to light up at a meet then what's the point

I started again in lockdown...

I don't have anything against people not wanting to meet me. I changed my profile to update it.

Most people are surprised when they realise. I think it helps that I am not a heavy smoker (I'm more of a social smoker when I've had a drink). I don't smoke in my house or car, wash hands, mouthwash, frebreze my clothes and dry shampoo my hair after cigs (when I'm at home not out drinking)

Same, vaping helped me stop. I used to go for big mods and juice, but back in Feb I started buying disposables and they helped immensely. Profile is non smoker as technically its not smoking

Because they are easier to carry out and about than a big mod. I like my big mods, got a few VooPoo Drags, falcon tanks and there's usually Nasty's Slow Blow or Devil's Teeth in the tanks. I just prefer the disposables for ease of use, can have 2 or 3 different flavours on the go and it's still less room than a mod, plus no mess trying to fill a tank. I'm currently favouring a disposable called Crystal by SKS, huge range of flavours

As a non-smoker, I just wanted to clarify that I don't meet smokers primarily because even if a smoker turns up 'meet fresh' and hasn't smoked in the run up, if they're a long term regular smoker I've found it impacts how they taste. And I don't mean just from a kissing perspective.

That is really the only reason I prefer not to meet smokers, even if they provide assurances that they will be clean and fresh and stick by it all the way through a meet. There's no judgement from me... it's just a preference.

I'm curious, do other non-smoker's who won't meet smokers consider vaping the same as smoking? Do you differentiate between vaping with nicotine or no nicotine?

We don't mind vapers, if it was without nicotine & they weren't interrupting the meet to go out & vape. Basically no impact.

I’m a smoker but I do not enjoy meeting men who vape - I like dom men and when he shows up smelling of bubblegum or strawberry and mango it’s a turn off - much prefer the smell of a good cigar and brandy

I'll meet a vaper if they go outside to vape when we're taking a break or at the end. I would rather them smell and taste of something fruity than cigarette smoke or aniseed or lavender vape.

Same, vaping helped me stop. I used to go for big mods and juice, but back in Feb I started buying disposables and they helped immensely. Profile is non smoker as technically its not smoking"

Left Mine as still smoker because I vape with just tobacco vape juice that’s why I have left my status as smoker can’t get on with mango and cherry or other fruity vapes after forty five years as smoker think I’m doing quite well at the moment

I think most people consider it different.

I'm a bit unusual - I react badly to the residue of vaping (migraines) and smoking (respiratory distress). So they're both still a no from me. (I make this clear on my profile, for anyone who cares to read it, although that's assuming they do and they respect my health).

Ok as a smoker I very really drink. So for me it's the drink side that gets me.

If a person needs a drink (key word NEEDS) that for me is a big no.

When I meet I don't smoke as much as it's rude even if they smoke i tend not to. If chemistry and conversation is doing well then there was no need for me to smoke that often. But the difference between smoke and drink is smoke doesn't change your mannerism.

Ok its not that nice to smell but it's my outlet. It also don't change or enhance my personality but we all know that person who one to many drink who made a ass out of them selfs.

However to lie so you can get your leg over thats sad.

As with many things had covid three times so not drinking at all at moment no smell taste etc use to love a jd cherry pop with ice or occasional Stella white wine with salad

I'm a smoker marked as a smoker. Lots of people look over me because of that fact but I'd rather be overlooked because of who I am than looked at for things I'm not.
