The baby could have just pulled them off? But yes I see where you're coming from. It gets me in the cold when a baby has no blanket on them. I spent a few weeks in a wheelchair years ago and noticed how bloody cold it is when you're being pushed around. Some don't realise that babies will feel it even more.

why didn't you say something to them? like 'oh poor thing, he must have cold feet, has he lost his socks?'

not sure posting on here will help baby much.

Yes they were wrapped up but the kid had its knees close to its body because it was blatantly freezing the reason I never said anything is I didn't think it was my place to tell them how to conduct there parenting assess pretty disgusting to be honest

It can be difficult to interfere and say something, but in situations like that I find it hard to keep my gob shut, same as when I see someone hitting thier kids, makes my blood boil

A few weeks ago we had a 'situation' in a supermarket.

A toddler was having one of those mardy, noisy spats that they all do. The mother and father had a grumble at the kid and Mrs Artful smiled at the mother having been in situations the same with our kids.

The mother then went all jeremy kyle by mouthing off at 'why do people always stare at me and shit, blah blah blah, with the arms and neck waving and wobbling about.

Well, calmy, Mrs Artful spoke to her saying, 'I wasn't having a go, I didn't say a word. But I've got kids of my own and they're older than you and with a lot more respect!'

To which the kids mother stormed off effing and blinding and throwing a strop with everyone staring at her.

We have all been there, tired, stressed etc with young uns, but ffs there was no need for that, even the kids dad apologised and crawled up his own arse.

I am sure that all kids used to have this inflicted on them, I know I did. Managed to get rid of the string last year...

my current bug bear is small children with energy drinks, IMO its like preparing them for drug taking! These drinks are very strong and we dont know the long term effects of the chemicals used in them, they should only be used by grown ups needing a boost, occasionally!

Was the kid awake, if he was have you thought that maybe he just kept pulling them off straight after they were put on and the parent was worried about losing them, if a child really refuses to wear them what can you do

There are far more subtle ways for parents to 'mistreat' their children, particularly in this age of technology...kids being shut up in cots and playpens or sent to their bedrooms to play while mummy spends half the day on chatrooms and internet sites like Facebook.....

have you tried sewing an elastic strip to the cuff and to the glove, might not stop him taking them off but will stop them being lost

I talking about this with my mum earlier and she told me a couple of crackers.

We used to live in the sticks where my dad was a gamekeeper, and he had left rat poison within reach of my older brother who was 2 at the time. I always said he was a rat but I didn't mean it lol

My dad also left a mallet within his reach when I was a baby, my dad apparently walked into me laying on a blanket cooing up at him when my brother was about to crack the mallet down on me!!

When my oldest son was about 3 he refused to wear a hat or even keep his hood up when it was freezing - I tried everything but he just refused point black - his ears used to be bright red! Then one day I was in a £ shop and they had a basket with balaclavas in it and he was fascinated! Army man hats mummy! Best £ I ever spent - his dad used to moan he looked like a terrorist but his ears were warm lol

Even had to hide it when summer came round as he still insisted on wearing it lol xx
