Heath experts are warning that feeding your dog raw meat could be hazardous the owners health because there are more dangerous bugs and diseases in the dog poo including sepsis and drug resistant e coli.

They miss another point. Does feeding dogs raw meat give them a taste for blood and make them more likely to attack. .

They prefer avocado on toast. With a little spinach and nutritional yeast.

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else

The source is a paper published by Oliver Mounsey et al. Key phrase from the Abstract...

"

We therefore suggest that those who feed their dogs raw meat seriously consider the potential ABR-transmission threat their pet may become as a result and deploy appropriate hygiene practices in mitigation."

So, if you touch raw meat, wash your hands.

In other news, the Pope's religious affiliation has been subject to new research...

Note - not knocking OP, I'm knocking the sensationalist clickbait-y twats at (it appears) the Reach group of papers, who somehow decided this was worth propagating.

Was it a vegan dog food manufacturer who did the research?

And don't touch your dogs' butts when you stroke them, and don't let them lick you because they lick their butts.

My dogs never had raw meat or bones as I don't agree with it. Everytime he has meat, it's cooked like ours.

Let's be clear here guys. Tom has not endorsed eating dog poor. The research says owners should be even more careful when disposing of raw meat dog poo. Tom would double glove but that's up to individual owners. And do don't be tempted to just leave the poo in the grass were a small child could come into contact with it. Tom is no dog lover but is tolerant of others who like dogs. This story is all over the news and even Sharpey has sided with the OP over this. What's going on here Sharpey.

"even"....?

Plus....read it again. Not knocking you is not the same as endorsing the story.

For the record, leaving dog poo "where children could come into contact with it" ie on th epavement / public areas, is already an offence, so our glorious government is already taking valiant steps to protect the hardworking Dog-ambivelants of Essex....
