"anyway Aphro.. who said this was fun..No it is not... it is hard work being a swinger! all work and no play..." We should have a new thread, debating the work, pay, holiday conditions should be for a full-time and a part-time swinger. Furthermore, we should look at how it would fit in with EU regulations (Wishy, where are you? ??

"In London, over the last couple of years CVA'S are being treated faster and patients are getting better care due to the introduction of HASU (hyper actute stroke units). They are specialist departments in particular hospitals around London, I think there are 7 within the m25 and provide thrombolitic treatment to stroke patients meeting specific criteria. It's a ggreat system and more people are surviving them. I'm not familiar with systems outside of London, anyone know if there's some in other cities?" which is great news, will the proposed A&E closures effect them though..?

The pct is in quite a bit of debt from what I hear, that does have a hasu. Maybe they would keep the it open, it would be good if they did but who knows! The next nearest stroke unit to there would be kings college. Miles away! Sorry to hijack your thread Aphrodite! I can at least say it's still on subject (ish!) X

"Very useful, especially as the adverts seem to have stopped. TIAs may be very subtle so if you feel that you have experienced something like this do go and get checked." And the symptoms resolve quickly so even if you feel better, still go get checked!
