That constant need to be chasing the next experience/material thing in the belief it'll make you happier.

Have you been guilty of this, only to find the destination wasn't really what you wanted?

When young?

Yep.

Cars, holidays, club nights out, clothes etc (no gadgets because there weren't any!). When I hit my 30's I started to realise I was wasting money on things that meant fuck all. When I hit my 40's I'd already reached the point where personal experiences and family time were way more important than anything that cost money.

These days I don't chase anything. Life is too short to feel a constant need for new stuff and I'm happy enjoying what I have whilst I have it.

You don't know what you'll miss til it's gone.

surrounded by twinkly lights

I chase memories.

When all I've got is a rucksack on my back, my memories will still be there

Worthing

Just watch youtube for the cars (Jayemm specially) and Luxury Travel Expert for the holiday journey (sometimes destination). 4k walking videos for city travel. Don't need to buy after watching!
