Usually 1st December for us, but that's because it's the first day of the advent calendar, so might as well put the lot up, besides, my daughter loves it

I don't put any up

I spend as little time as possible in the flat, so to that end I let other people go to the trouble

Ours go up 1st Dec, but it takes a week to put them all up, so if we leave it till mid-Dec it seems Xmas is over before we've had a chance to enjoy the decs/tree etc.

I dont usually have a tree because of the cats but got one last year and they attacked it I dont know how many times! I was still finding baubles in June, lol!

Not sure whether I should bother this year!

Tend to leave the tree up all year round, saves taking the dog out for a walk.

Well ive a new kitten...and shes mad as a box of frogs and i have visions of the tree swaying and baubles everywhere and her as the tree topper and tbh im very very anal( no pun here) about my tree as no one can put any deccys on apart from me...takes me hrs to get it just right so theres no way im even contemplating it....so on the www to find a substitute cardboard one.....

My wife promised me anal sex for getting the Xmas decorations done.

So I bent her over and did the business.

She then said, "can we get the tree up now?" I said, "I struggled to get my cock in but I'll give it a go."

My tree will go up on Saturday

I have just agreed to a spur of the moment holiday with a friend and worked out that including that and my travels for work I will now have only 8 sleeps in my own bed between now and Christmas!

So I'm starting early.

And packing the advent calendar...

Weekend nearest to the 1st December here, Andy used to moan but he's used to me now and usually gets them all out of the loft the last week in November so that we can check them. We do go a bit ott in the house but afraid I'm not one for decorating outside, it's just for our pleasure.

the good lands, the bad lands, the any where you may want me lands

my brothers birthday falls on 18th December, so we have never decorated the house for Christmas until that is done and he has enjoyed his own special day. Even now, 18th December will be the day I place the traditional Christmas wreath on the front door and erect the small festive treat. guess its another tradition**should have posted this to Aphrodites christmas traditions thread**

Some houses in my street already have their Xmas light displays switched on!

As for me, I usually remember on Boxing Day I should have put up the decorations; by the time I can find them in the loft, it's New Year's Eve, and I think, "there's always next year!"

Ours will usually go up the weekend before Christmas day. They come down on the 5th Jan. If we put them up any sooner, they tend to blend into the background by the time Christmas day gets here. We believe it should be new and fresh...

I see that some shopping centres have already had their switching on ceremonies. Haven't they realised, there is only so much money out there and if we spend it now, they can't have more later? Mind you, I'll bet some get suckered into spending more than they can truly aford!

near the sounds of the wimborne quarter jack!

No earlier that a week before Xmas Day or at least the weekend before. I usually start with the outside lights, mostly on the gutters but I also have an air-blown father and son polar bear decoration which goes on top of the garage. Inside decorations go up later. First thing to go up is the cat`s advent calendar!
