"Neither. Being single and working a dog is out of the question and to an extent so is a cat but i would not want either anyway. The increase in domesticated cats is one of the reasons in the large scale reduction of birds and small mammals, cats kill, not just to eat, just for the kill. Since the banning of dogs off leads their has been a huge reduction in dogs mess at a local nature reserve and the wildlife is starting to recover. Time to rethink the impact of your pets."

Neither desire the responsibility, the hassle, nor the expense. At a deeper level, I'm not comfortable with incarcerating animals just for my pleasure or whim.

"Okay, Fab, tell us about your furry friends. Are you a dog person? Cat owner? Or some other type of animal? We've got a shy, nervous rescue cat who, after four years, has finally started to comenout of her shell." I love dogs, the bigger the more furry the better. Very partial to German Shepherds though
