Okay, Fab, tell us about your furry friends. Are you a dog person? Cat owner? Or some other type of animal?

We've got a shy, nervous rescue cat who, after four years, has finally started to comenout of her shell.

Neither.

Being single and working a dog is out of the question and to an extent so is a cat but i would not want either anyway.

The increase in domesticated cats is one of the reasons in the large scale reduction of birds and small mammals, cats kill, not just to eat, just for the kill.

Since the banning of dogs off leads their has been a huge reduction in dogs mess at a local nature reserve and the wildlife is starting to recover.

Time to rethink the impact of your pets.

I have an elderly blind cat. I don't know her exact age because I'm a bad cat mum but she must be almost 20.

She's currently enjoying spending all day out in the garden in the sunny weather as she's usually restricted to the flat when it's bad weather.

I have a local cat that has been visiting most days for about 5 years. She comes in if too hot or cold outside. I don't feed her so maybe she likes the company!. Also have hedgehogs and foxes visit.

Likewise.

Neither desire the responsibility, the hassle, nor the expense. At a deeper level, I'm not comfortable with incarcerating animals just for my pleasure or whim.

I love dogs, the bigger the more furry the better. Very partial to German Shepherds though

I've a mature terripin that found it's way into my garden pond. I had it checked out at the reptile rescue centre in Cardiff, and was told that people are dumping these creatures on a regular basis now that teenage mutant ninja turtles are old hat, so I brought it back with me, set up a basking stone for it, and it's been here ever since.

Have a beautiful blue merle border collie.

He has one brown and one blue eye and gets a lot of fuss and attention wherever we go . Living alone he is a lifesaver especially over the last few years. He comes to work with me and to the pub .

Had three rescue greyhounds who I sadly had to rehome following a relationship breakdown. Now have a 10 month old kitten aka Devil Spawn. Rules the roost, I wouldn’t be without him. Working from home and living alone, he’s great company
