I couldn't do it. I couldn't share my partner in either a sexual or loving situation. I will freely admit I am too jealous and selfish a person to share someone I loved with another woman. It would eat at me and slowly destroy me.

King's Crustacean

Western cultures generally follow a monogamous relationship pattern.

It creates jealousy.

I believe any form that suits those involved is acceptable.

Poly forms are right by me.

And African cultures as well. If I would steal a quote from someone, "I believe in fidelity, but not monogamy"

I know a few triad groups that this works well. Sometimes like it is in the op with not sharing sexually. Other times fully sexual.

It works well for them and I think it's more natural. It is certainly something I would consider.

we'd very much consider a polyamerous relationship if the right person came along. polygamy however would have to wait until the law changed and i dont see that happening any time soon. but to be honest finding one person u want to share your life with is hard enough, i doubt we'll ever find ourselves a perfect third for a thrupple. x

I have no opinion of it towards couples who have chosen that life. If it works for them, great. I just know I don't have the right emotional make up to cope with such a situation.

Bigamy is one wife too many. Some say monogamy is much the same thing. Polygamy shows a tendency towards masochism as why would anyone willingly subject themselves to TWO mother in laws?

Each people have his culture. What is not accepted here may be accepted elsewhere

Like someone said it is not only mormon. My dad was married to 5 women...yes 5 after my mum worked out on him

I've never seen any of his wives complaining and all his 18 kids have been raised and educated in the perfect way...
