Photo verified - important?

Heya,

We’ve been on here for years and never cared about getting photo verified or getting verifications - in fact, we actively discouraged verifications as they always seemed odd to us even if very nicely written.

We’ve been getting blocked or ignored frequently after a handful of messages back and forth or after simply looking at their profile and it seems we found out why after someone reviewed our profile - apparently missing photo verification is a big red flag?

We’ve gotten photo verified just now in response and planning on messaging past meets for verifications. We thought general photos would be enough?…

Do people really care? We never look at people’s verifications or if someone is photo verified. People with zero photos and zero details on their profile we tend to ignore, but that’s about it.

Have people had bad experience or what’s the deal with having to be photo verified?

Thanks

If they’ve got real verifications from actual people then photo verification means nothing to us.

It's a filter to stop unwanted messages.

Alot of people see a swinging site as an easy lay so joing for that reason. They don't put any pics up very little profile informations.

Actual verification from a meet or social are always better to go by as a came proves nothing

It's more just people don't want to be annoyed by randomness messaging them.

Getting photo verified only takes to minutes.

You can also have your verifications hidden if you want to keep them private and can show them in a private message for anyone genuine your chatting to and they'd like to see and you're interested in meeting.

It's not a complete fail-safe but it does cut down on the number of guys pretending to be girls I guess.

Photo verification is quick and easy, I'm not sure why anyone wouldn't do it.

We photo verified this morning. Like you said, it only took a few seconds. It’s just not something we ever cared about as we never cared about seeing the tick on other profiles and never really had an experience of a guy pretending to be a woman. Don’t actually see the point as surely you’ll be able to tell when you meet up?

We do look to see if the profile is photo verified if they have been here years with only 1 meet verification, especially from a single male account. Weve been messed about so much by couples accounts that turns out to be a single male who verified himself on the couples account.

It's not a big deal to many though

At the end of the day anyone can set up a profile claiming to be a couple or a single and anyone can post photos claiming to be what they want their profile to suggest. Getting photo verified is just one way of ensuring you're talking to who the profile claims to be and if they have meet verified (and in couples case both of them have been mentioned in the verifications) this just adds another layer of security.

If I get approached by a profile with neither of them I automatically write off. It's just my opinion but if people can't put in the effort to do something as basic as verify themselves from my experience they will put in the same amount of effort when it comes to meets too.

You'd think! Doesn't stop some trying. I think because a lot of guys get zero attention on here they set up a profile as a girl just to get some interaction, even if it's just from other guys who are similarly getting no attention from their preference.

I don't pay any attention to if someone is photo veried because it is far from fool proof, considering that some of the profiles that are photo veried are fake so there are definitely ways around it if someone is good enough at photo editing.

Oh great, so it’s because a bunch of guys pretending to be women so they can flirt with unsuspecting guys, but neither is gay? This makes my head hurt…

I’d say 95% of messages we get are from single dudes that copy pasted their standard text message. Don’t think we’ve ever spoken to a fake profile, but maybe we’re not their target audience…

I have been stood up by a guy

Who is a club goer with 300 and odd vers

And also hosts tv/ts party’s and such

Basically all those vers from clubs and people who he hosted party’s for and such

Didn’t stop him from standing me up

That was the day I decided vers are total bs

We don’t really look to be honest but if we like someone we chat on another platform and get to know them, so we have an idea of them.

Just do FAB how you want to, then you’ll attract likeminded people.

Some people will insist it’s an issue and some won’t.

We have verifications, pics of us both and a detailed profile to give us the best chance to meet the type of people we want to. It works for us and gives us a better experience.

I think bring photo verified is so easy to do. Not foolproof but will cut out a lot of bullshitters. For me it’s just another tool to use when deciding on who to interact with.

It’s so easy to do, I don’t understand why more people don’t do it.

Veris are easier to cheat, with one mock profile commenting on another. At least photo verified involves a site moderator.

Yeah, the only verification we ever published was one that was more about our personality rather than anything else. We shall go and get lots of veries shortly. Just because we don’t care or ever read them doesn’t mean others don’t put a lot of faith in them.

Yes, we’ve had great conversations via group messaging apps. Easier also to distinguish who is being spoken to/you is responding.

I don't think it matters to be honest. This site is a minefield.

Admittedly photo verified would make me feel a little more reassured that they are who they claim to be and not someone posing as a fake.

On my former singles profile though I was photo verified. Sent two pics to one guy and he told me my collar bone didn't match! I simply stopped talking to him. I've been accused of being fake a few times and nit being real or a bot.

Veris can be written by someone's mates on fake profiles to make them look good so I don't trust them so much.

Personally I don't like veris much, it's like a virtual bedpost notches display when really all it needs to say is yes this person meets and is reliable.

Just be you. If people get funny block them. It's simple.

Photo and meet veris are there to prove you are who you say and not a lonely old man pretend to be a hot couple, so yeah they are kind of important as it makes the people you are talking to feel a little more reassured that you are real.

Not being photo verified isn't a huge red flag in itself, nor is not being meet verified, or even having no photos, but they all add up.

It's not difficult to get photo verified (as you've seen) so it seems the least someone could do to help reassure a potential meet.

As for meet veris, the ones which detail exactly what happened are a bit weird, but the ones that just keep it brief and say you are real are OK. You can choose which to show as well, so don't need to show any weird ones.

It's not that easy, as meet veris can only come from someone that has a meet veri themselves.

So you can't just verify yourself with a mock account.

Photo verification doesn't count for a lot unfortunately, but it may help if that photo is displayed. With the apps available it's easily faked. Most (not all) prefer to see genuine meet verifications and will then click to see who has left the verification.

Dunno, mr is very good with photoshop and he said it would be way too much effort assuming a moderator takes more than 2 seconds to confirm. Then again, we seem tos till be a bit naive and struggle to fully get the point of pretending to be a woman or a couple unless you are trying to dupe a bisexual lady to chat but never meet? Anyway.
