Who likes a heavy blanket? The sort tha pins you down, without having a high tog rating?

I do. I hate not having something crushing the air out of my lungs while I sleep. I feel so vulnerable without it!

Nope. Can't stand them as they make me feel claustrophobic.

I don't even like wearing long sleeved shirts for a similar reason.

Much prefer sleeping naked under a thin sheet or just on top of the covers.

I have been recommended one a few times but I’m not keen.

Mine has a moleskin texture on one side and a smoother texture on the other. I can't use wool, as it is always too scratchy, even merino is uncomfortable.

This feels like a wet towel weight wise and the glass beads really take away the excess heat.

First time I used it, I slept on my back, for most of the night. This is not the norm for me.

I'm getting another blanket soon, before the sell out.

I don't have a weighted one, but use old fashioned wool blankets tucked into the bed, I have a large wool duvet that is also tucked in. I've done this since childhood I struggle to sleep without the weight and things being tucked in. I did consider a weighted blanket by like the ability to change the warmth by adding and removing blankets as the temperature changes.

Me too, but sleeping on TOP of it allows me to relax more, as the glass beads really work for me heat wise.

They are back on sale again.

soapbox time.

Back in the eighties when continental quilts were still something exotic, a lot of us were using multiple blankets and bed sheets. This was the norm and a pain in the ass for making. (long live fitted sheets).

Then came the duvet. I still need a flat sheet underneath them, but in hotels, this is not the norm. This means the race to the top of the lightest duvet means all duvets even the very low togs float and don't wrap around. I hate this draft.

This means there is a loads of people, who are suffering with poor sleep, thinking they have insomnia and have to suffer with sleeping tablets or a poor night's sleep.

We need the choice, we need to know that there is a choice.

These things need more publicity, any drug free treatment has got to be a lifesaver when it comes to getting some decent kip...as falling asleep at work/at the wheel...zzzz....zzzz is not good.

I do get that it a marmite thing.

I love mine, although it does make it hard to want to get out of bed in the morning.... They do tend to slide off the bed if you're a fidget tho... as soon as one side had more hanging over the edge than another, it will creep over the edge like a suicidal throw...

I love these! Have borrowed my daughters one and just love rhe feeling of being pinned on my back. I think I have gotten a bit used to it now and need heavier I cant sleep under a duvet, too light and fluffy but also make me sweat horribly. I have a soft fluffy blanket next to the skin then pile on the old army woollen blankets, I raided my Mums loft. I need to be strapped into bed by sheets and blankets. Best sleep ever recently.
